Ice Hockey: Germantown Academy Doubles Up Springfield in Outdoor Contest

SCHWENKSWILLE -- Germantown Academy's ice hockey team took a trip north to Spring Mountain Adventures for an outdoor game against Springfield Township High School. Despite frigid temperatures, the Patriots were not deterred, defeating the Spartans, 8-4.

Colin Rink '24 got the scoring started for GA in the first period, his first of four goals on the night. Daniel Alexander '25 tallied three scores, while JP McGill '26 netted one for the Patriots.

Germantown Academy returns to action next week with three games in as many days. They open the week with home games against Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (Jan. 23) and Academy of the New Church (Jan. 24) before taking on ANC at Jungé Ice Rink on the campus of Bryn Athyn College.
